Branding
How branded links improve trust
People decide whether to tap a URL in a second. A host they already know is the fastest trust signal you can put on a link.

Key takeaways
- Anonymous shorteners look like phishing to a lot of readers.
- A readable slug plus your host matches the rest of the brand.
- Trust is operational: HTTPS, a stable slug, and a destination you can explain.
The two-second test
Someone sees the URL in a preview, a hover, or printed under a QR. They ask: do I know this host? If the answer is no, many people bounce. That is not a branding lecture. It is how mail clients and browsers have trained people after years of junk redirects.
What branded does not fix
A branded host pointing at malware is still malware. Screening, abuse reports, and the right to pause a slug still matter. Branding is the envelope. The destination still has to be a page you would put your name on.
